6 Weeks and First Road Trip!

On Friday, Noah was 6 weeks old. The next day we decided to make a trip to Wichita Falls to visit Jeremy's parents for a Memorial Day cookout and spend the night. We had not visited in 6 months and wanted to check out the new updates to their house, plus Jeremy wanted to help his dad with some projects. I was excited to get away from our house for a while. So after hours of planning and preparing to take off with a baby, we set out.

The trip up there went pretty well. Once we arrived, Noah didn't seem to adjust too well to the changes in his schedule. He couldn't stay awake to eat and couldn't stay asleep because he was too hungry. I think it was just a bit overstimulating for him at this point. So we packed up the motherload and headed back home that night. I swear the boy did not even blink on the way home! He cried half the way, we had to stop six times, and he finally conked out around 9pm as we drove into Flower Mound. Exhausting! Then he actually slept until 2am, which meant that he really wore himself out. No more road trips for a while!

Last week was eventful too. We made two trips to the doctor. The first was for goopy eyes. The doctor thinks he has clogged tear ducts. (Yes, I tried the breastmilk but they are still clogged.) The next day we had to have him checked out after Jeremy tripped over the ottoman with him and fell against the crib. It just scared him (and us!) more than anything. He was totally fine. I told Noah it was a good day to ask Daddy for that pony because he was feeling pretty horrible about it.

Hope everyone had a great weekend! I am back to work tomorrow, briefly before school ends. Here's to a certain little man sleeping through the night soon!
