The Longest 5th Birthday

The first birthday celebration was Noah's party with his friends in League City on March 25th.

He immediately recognized the "Robots, Robots Everywhere" theme from his favorite book.

On his actual birthday, we awoke Noah (in his hotel hide-a-bed) with Transformers balloons. :)

We took Chick-fil-a to school for lunch and cookies to share with his class.

For his birthday dinner, we met Mamaw & Papaw in Fayetteville for pizza and cake.

One of the best cakes I've ever eaten was a Transformers cake!  Cake and cookies by Bizzy B's Bakery.

As you can imagine, we now have lots of RescueBots toys around here.  It was kind of a hectic, fly-by-the-seat-of-your-pants sort of birthday, but I think it was lots of fun anyway! ;)

Beach babes

Yes, I know, this blog will be sporting more pics of Gray than of Noah.  These are just the only beach pictures we have of him so I went crazy. :)

In March, we made one last ditch effort at the beach in Galveston.  Having a beach 20 miles from your house is pretty awesome whether its white sand and turquoise waters or not!  However, we never could get the weather to cooperate very well for us.  Of course, December-March is not prime beach season, but it was crazy how the temperature could drop 15 degrees between our door and Stewart Beach.  

This particular day was sunny and 60s at the beach, a bit cool.  But it was steamy and 70s at home.  Go figure.
